Scriptoaphyosemion is a sub-genus of Aphyosemion plant spawning egg laying killifish. As with the main genus, species in the scriptoaphyosemion sub-genus are easy to raise and breed, thus they make good species for those getting started raising killifish.

There are 13 species in the scriptoaphyosemion sub-genus of killifish.
These killies are small, easy to raise and breed, but caution should be taken as they are expert jumpers.
These make for a good beginning killifish, as with most of the aphyosemion genus, however, they are not recommended for those just entering the aquarium hobby.
